Megan Burtt : Songwriting

"Pulsing and powerful and lovely, Burtt gracefully manipulates words and melody into a sultry delight.” - Guitar World

Megan Burtt is a singer-songwriter, granddaughter of a 1940s big band drummer, child of the ’90s, and daughter of the Rocky Mountains. Her music brings together the groove of big band records, the soul of Americana, the folk traditions of the mountains, and an unapologetic love of a great pop earworm.

Her songs are organic and soulful, with melodies that stick around. She writes about the messy, funny, beautiful business of being alive—love, loss, longing, mistakes, wonder, and the lessons we pick up along the way.

An award-winning performing songwriter, Megan has won the Kerrville NewFolk Competition, Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Songwriter Showcase, and Denver Westword Music Award for Best Singer-Songwriter. She has been a finalist in the Mountain NewSong Competition, Telluride Bluegrass Songwriting Contest, Great American Song Contest, and Songwriter Serenade, and has shared stages with Gregory Alan Isakov, The Fray, Marc Cohn, and LeAnn Rimes.

Her latest album, Witness, was praised by Guitar Girl Magazine as “surely one of the best albums of 2024.” She is currently working on her fourth full-length record, with new singles slated for early 2027, and performs with country-western band Road Pony, where classic country gets a new ride.

Offstage, Megan has summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, survived a gluten-free diet for more than a decade, and discovered she and Oprah share the same Enneagram number. She dreams of becoming an olive farmer in Spain and figures life is a long time—and longing is a pretty good source of inspiration.

Edie Carey : Songwriting

“One of my favorite musicians...an extraordinary folk artist and a beautiful singer.” - Sara Bareilles

Colorado-based singer-songwriter Edie Carey is known for her unmistakable, soulful voice, her intelligent, heart-grabbing songs, but perhaps most especially for her warm, engaging presence on - and off - stage. As much a part of her show as the music itself, Edie's wry humor makes audiences feel as though they have just spent an evening with a very close friend.

Edie Carey has been touring internationally since 1999, singing alongside Shawn Colvin and Brandi Carlile and appearing on NPR’s syndicated Mountain Stage as well as Red Rocks, Telluride Bluegrass, and Newport Folk Festivals. Her lullaby project with award-winning songwriter Sarah Sample won Best Children’s Album in the 2015 Independent Music Awards, and she was a featured vocalist on the 2020 Grammy-Winning ensemble All the Ladies. Americana Highways called her 2022 studio release The Veil “one of the best of the year” and Basic Folk listed it as #4 on their “Top 10 of 2022” alongside Grammy-nominees Anais Mitchell and Aoife O’Donovan. In 2024 she released Lantern In The Dark, her 2nd duo lullaby album with Sarah Sample. Their song, "In My Arms," won 2nd place in the Children's category of the 2024 International Songwriting competition, along with Grammy nominees Fyütch and Lucy Kalantari.
